While on paper, the laptop is good, I'd check out what people have to say about Cowboom.

That's a pretty lousy score. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with that myself, although on the positive side, it looks like they respond to every rating.

A fairly decent machine of that age, and a classic Thinkpads that dared to be slightly more adventurous with having curves.
